Joint Replacement Research with Indigenous Patients

Joining Forces for Better Access to Joint Care

Concordia Hip & Knee Institute

At Concordia, we conduct research that helps individuals recover more effectively from hip and knee replacement surgery.

We are committed to doing this research in collaboration with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, Communities and Nations.

The Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission inspires our developing research.

Joint Replacement Research with Indigenous Patients

Concordia Arthroplasty Research is committed to partnering with Indigenous researchers, healthcare providers, and community leaders to inform and guide our research.

Our first project focuses on access to care, looking for gaps and removing barriers that Indigenous patients face when seeking joint replacement.

We believe this work can only succeed with the support and guidance of the community. We welcome your partnership, insight, and involvement.

Working together to improve joint health and reduce barriers to care.
